ODYSSEY EXHIBITION by Robert Koenig

Thirty-two carved wooden figures, 2 1/2 metres tall, will be featured at the West End of the Cathedral. Most of these figures were carved in the village of Dominikowice in Poland between 1997 and 2002. The lime trees grew in Robert's mother's home village and had their roots where the artist has his.



At many of the locations visited Robert carves another figure, named after its place of creation. As Odyssey continues to travel the world it will have a "Salisbury" figure. During the week of 18 February 2008, Robert will be carving a new figure in the Cloisters for the Cathedral. A tree has been donated by Wilton House.
